The singing of the national anthem by Self-Defense Forces personnel at
the party convention has been criticized, but no matter what excuses are
made, it is clearly a violation of the Self-Defense Forces Law.
This ignorance of the situation and the shamelessness of stubbornly denying
it even when pointed out are rooted in the same issues as Takaichi's remarks
about Taiwan. It is terrifying that such a cabinet is reviewing the export
of weapons of mass destruction, presiding over the National Intelligence
Council, and in charge of national strategy. |
